How Tradify prices its plans

Tradify charges for each person who uses it: A$48 a user a month on Lite, A$52 on Pro and A$62 on Plus, all before GST. A Custom plan for large teams is priced on request.

figrd charges per business. Core is A$39 a month and Pro is A$99, with unlimited users on both. Here is the monthly price by crew size:

Tradify prices are per user a month, in AUD and excluding GST, from Tradify's Australian pricing page. The range runs from Lite to Plus. figrd prices are the full price you pay; figrd is not GST-registered and does not charge GST.

At Tradify's published prices, figrd Core costs less than a single Tradify Lite user. figrd Pro, which adds team scheduling and approvals, costs less than 3 Tradify Lite users.

Where the hourly rate check sits

Tradify Pro includes costing and bill tracking: you record bills and track the costs on each job.

figrd includes its check on Core and Pro. At setup you enter what the business costs to run for a year and how many hours you can bill. As you build a quote, the quote builder shows the hourly rate your price works out to, next to the rate the business needs. Your customer never sees either figure.

After the job, figrd compares the costs in the quote with the costs recorded on the job.

Two other differences

• AI quote drafting on the team plan. figrd Pro drafts a quote's wording and matches items from your price book. It only writes a draft you approve, and it never invents your numbers. Tradify lists its AI tools, SmartTools, on Plus at A$62 a user a month.
• Work priced by someone else. When a builder or another business sets the amount, you can check it against your costs before you accept the work. figrd then reports profit and payment speed by who paid.

When Tradify is likely the better fit

• You use MYOB or QuickBooks. Tradify connects to QuickBooks Online, Xero and MYOB. figrd connects to Xero only.
• You want help setting up. Tradify says its experts can set up your account and train your team. figrd's support is by email.
• You want native apps on iPhone and Android. Tradify has apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. figrd has no Android app; on Android it runs in the phone's browser.
• You want an established review record. Tradify shows 4.8 out of 5 from more than 9,000 ratings and reviews. figrd does not have a review record yet.

Moving across from Tradify

1. Start the trial. Every new figrd account gets 30 days of full Pro, with no card needed to start.
2. Enter your business costs. Setup asks what the business costs to run and how many hours you bill, so each quote has a rate to compare against.
3. Bring your customers across through Xero. If your customers are in Xero, connect Xero in figrd and go through the contact list. You choose to import each contact, match it to one already in figrd, or skip it.
4. Bring your price book across. Import labour and material items from a CSV file, or from your Xero items with the same review step.
5. Quote your next few jobs in both. Keep Tradify running while you price real work in figrd, then decide.

Past jobs, notes and photos stay in Tradify. figrd does not import them.
