figrd vs Tradify: an honest comparison.
Tradify is established job management software with a large user base, and if it fits your business, use it. This page exists for the comparison people actually ask about: what each costs as your team grows, and where the profit maths happens. Every Tradify figure below comes from Tradify's own pages, with the date we checked it. Spot something out of date? Tell us at support@figrd.com.au and we will fix it the same day.
Pricing, side by side
Tradify prices from tradifyhq.com/au/pricing, checked 11 July 2026. figrd prices from our own pricing page, same date.
- figrd Core - A$39/month inc GST, unlimited users
- figrd Pro - A$99/month inc GST, unlimited users
- Tradify Lite - A$48 per user/month ex GST
- Tradify Pro - A$52 per user/month ex GST
- Tradify Plus - A$62 per user/month ex GST
What that means at crew size - the maths, shown
Monthly cost for a 4-person crew, GST-inclusive so the figures are comparable:
- Tradify Pro: 4 users x A$52 = A$208 ex GST = A$228.80 inc GST
- figrd Core: A$39.00 inc GST, whether you are 1 person or 10
The difference is A$189.80 a month - A$2,277.60 a year. Work out your own: users x per-user price x 1.1 for GST, against a flat A$39 or A$99.
Where the profit maths happens
figrd's reason to exist: it shows whether a quote is profitable before you send it - your real hourly cost, overhead share and margin are in the quote screen itself, and the same numbers flow through to the invoice and payment. Nothing is re-typed into a second app.
Tradify includes quoting, invoicing, timesheets and job tracking. Its job costing feature, in Tradify's own words, lets you "determine the actual costs of a project and track profit and costs with our snapshot analysis" (tradifyhq.com/features/job-costing, checked 13 July 2026) - cost determination and profit tracking on the job. The difference in emphasis is timing: figrd puts the answer in the quote before it goes out.
Where Tradify is likely the better fit
Verified from Tradify's own App Store listing and site, 12 July 2026.
- A broader certificate template library - Tradify offers electrical AND gas safety certificate PDFs across Australia and New Zealand. figrd generates certificate documents only where a business's own form is lawful to issue, and covers other cases with lodgement records (below).
- MYOB or QuickBooks - Tradify syncs Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks; figrd syncs Xero only.
- Included setup help - their listing offers free setup and training.
- A long track record - 3.9K App Store ratings at 4.7 stars as of 12 July 2026.
Where figrd is likely the better fit
- Your crew is more than ~1 person and per-user pricing stings.
- You want the profit answer before the quote goes out, not in a report after the job closes.
- You want quote-to-paid in one flow at one flat price - quote, schedule, invoice, chase, payment.
- You want safety paperwork that matches how certificates work in 2026 - SWMS and JSA forms in every state (filled and signed on the phone, emailed as branded PDFs, on every plan), generated certificates where a business's own document is lawful (QLD electrical), and for the states that require lodgement through the regulator's own portal, a lodgement record with its deadline and portal link instead of a PDF the regulator will not accept. Per-state rules verified against regulator sources, 12 July 2026.
Both products offer a free trial - the honest advice is to run your last five real jobs through each and see which one tells you something you did not already know.
